Third Grade

ELA:

• Reading comprehension deepens with a focus on informational and literary texts. Students write multi-paragraph pieces and begin citing evidence from texts.

Math:

• Multiplication and division concepts begin, place value through 1,000, and understanding fractions as numbers.

Science:

• Third graders explore energy, ecosystems, Earth systems, and use the scientific method to investigate questions.

Social Studies:

• Study of Florida history, US regions, and early national history, along with map skills and community roles.
