Early Childhood

(3- and 4-year-olds)

ELA:

  • Children practice listening, build vocabulary, recognize some letters/sounds, and begin expressing ideas with words and early writing attempts (drawing or scribbling). They engage in conversations, listen to stories, and begin to understand that print carries meaning.

Math:

  • Young learners explore counting, number concepts, shapes, patterns, comparisons (more/less), and measurement using hands-on activities. They learn to talk about quantity and use math language through play.

Science:

  • Experiences focus on observation, exploration of natural phenomena (plants, weather, simple experiments), and asking questions about the world.

Social Studies:

  • Children learn about self, family, community helpers, rules, sharing, and routines — understanding their place in social environments.

Religion:

  • Introducing young children to God’s love through age-appropriate Bible stories, prayer, and everyday experiences, helping them begin to understand that God created them, loves them, and calls them to show kindness, care, and respect for others.
