Sixth Grade

ELA:

  • Students read varied genres and informational texts, with emphasis on text evidence and writing across genres.

Math:

  • Ratios, rates, division of fractions, and introductory algebraic reasoning begin.

Science:

  • Focus includes earth systems, life science structures/functions, and introductory physical science concepts.

Social Studies:

  • Study of ancient civilizations and world geography, including historical thinking skills.

Religion:

  • Helping students deepen their personal relationship with God and understand their identity as beloved children of God by growing in prayer life, exploring Scripture and Church teaching on human dignity and moral decision-making, and learning how faith informs how they live and relate to others in family and community.
