Eighth Grade
ELA:
Analytical reading of literature and informational texts; students write essays using evidence and clear structure.
Math:
Pre-algebra and introductory algebraic concepts, functions, and geometry foundations.
Science:
Concepts include physical science (forces, energy), Earth systems, and scientific inquiry skills.
Social Studies:
Students study US history from early exploration through Civil War/Reconstruction, citizenship, and civic literacy.
Religion:
Preparing young adolescents for Catholic life beyond middle school by deepening their understanding of the Church’s teachings (including vocation, sacraments, social justice, and Catholic identity), strengthening their spiritual practices and discernment, and encouraging them to live out faith with courage, compassion, and purposeful engagement in the world.
